About the journal
The mission of the European Journal of Applied Economics is to assist researchers to effectively and rapidly communicate their research results in the global scientific community, adhering to the utmost standards of responsible research publication.
The European Journal of Applied Economics will publish applied and reproducible scientific research across all the major subfields of economics including: microeconomics, macroeconomics, monetary economics, econometrics, experimental economics, industrial organization, international finance, corporate finance, management, marketing, tourism and hospitality, public economics and taxation, labor economics, operations management, corporate social responsibility, human resource, agricultural economics etc.
The papers that apply for publication in the EJAE must be related to one of the themes within the defined topic range, must use an adequate set of empirical data and contain an adequate quantitative analysis. Further on, such papers must clearly present the analysis of the results obtained and, most importantly, clearly define the implications for regulation and/or practice. Theoretical papers will be rarely considered for publication.
All papers must present the research in accordance with the reproducibility principle, and their authors must be willing to make the original set of data and program code (or detailed and complete description of the analysis process) available on request to reviewers and readers of the journal.

The Journal is published biannually (April and October) and is available in printed and open access electronic version. The acceptance rate for the year 2018 was 26%.

Why publish in the European Journal of Applied Economics?
Rigorous and rapid double-blind peer review process: Every article published in The European Journal of Applied Economics has been through double blind peer review; its quality, validity, and relevance is assessed by independent peers within the relevant field. The editor reserves the right to make the final decision with respect to publication. Desk-rejections are given within 7 days following submission. Average time from submission to first decision for papers chosen for review is less than 30 days.
For papers submitted during the summer break (July 15 - August 25) and the winter break (December 25 - January 15) the review process could take up to 60 days.
Simple formatting requirements: The Journal uses APA style referencing; MS Word template file with instructions is available.
Free of charges and open access: EJAE applies no article submission/processing/publication fees.
Get cited: The articles are abstracted/indexed in the following databases: SCIndeks, CABI - CAB Abstracts, Celdes, CNKI Scholar, CNPIEC, EBSCO, J-Gate, Naviga (Softweco), Primo Central (ExLibris), TDOne (TDNet), WorldCat (OCLC).
